E3 2015: SW:TOR – Knights of the Fallen Empire begins a new personal story in October When BioWare Austin first teased Star Wars: The Old Republic’s Shadow of Revan expansion back in November of last year, the studio teased that this would mark the start of something special. They hinted during a later interview with Shacknews that there would be a renewed focus on personal story, offering a single-player experience more reminiscent of classic Knights of the Old Republic with some optional multiplayer and party missions for those that wanted them. Now BioWare Austin is on the heels of their MMORPG’s biggest update ever, one that will introduce an entirely new personal story arc. Knights of the Fallen Empire is being billed as The Old Republic’s largest story-driven expansion, which will put players in the role of the Outlander, a veteran of the Great Galactic War. A new enemy called the Emperor of the Eternal Throne will emerge, looking to rule the galaxy with his own iron fist. While the Outlander must stop his machinations, he will soon learn that their destinies are intertwined.
