AirMech Arena crosses over with Assassin’s Creed The free-to-play real-time strategy game AirMech Arena on Xbox Live announced that it now has more than one million players. To celebrate this landmark achievement, the game has revealed an unexpected crossover with the Assassin’s Creed franchise. The will now feature both Assassin and Templar skins that can be applied to AirMechs and pets. Furthermore, the Assassin’s Creed Novi Aquilis Neo AirMech (complete with cloaking) will face-off against the Templar’s Abstergo Fortis Prototype and its death ray. Themed pets include the Spirit Eagle, the Apple of Eden, and the DNA Cube vial to give players that special edge in combat.  Additional skins, units and maps are expected to be announced in the coming...

Ofcom: Smartphones have harder time with weak signals Smartphones might not be as good as old-fashioned phone handsets at receiving a mobile signal in areas with indifferent coverage, initial research by telecom regulator Ofcom has suggested.
