Apple security slammed by worm maker The anonymous researcher who claims to have crafted a Mac OS X worm has said that he or she will report his findings to Apple, but added that the company “has a very long way to go” on security. Identified only as the researcher behind the Information Security Sell Out blog, he or she on Sunday announced that a still-unpatched bug in mDNSResponder, a component of Apple’s Bonjour automatic network configuring service, could be exploited by a worm. Motorola says smartphones will be available in US despite ban Motorola Mobility said Tuesday that it has taken “proactive measures” to ensure that its smartphones remain available to consumers in the U.S., despite a U.S. International Trade Commission ban on its phones that comes into effect on Wednesday.
