Chip maker fined for price fixing German chipmaker Infineon is to pay fine for fixing prices of computer chips. The company said it had agreed to plead guilty to US Justice Department charges of conspiring with other unnamed manufacturers to fix prices of DRAM (dynamic random access memory) chips. It will pay a $160 million fine to compensate clients, one of which is Apple.
